JOURNAL #4
My senior year so far has gone pretty good. I’ve gone to a couple of football games with some of my best friends and have just been having fun so far in my last year at Lindsay High school. As of now i’m on pace to graduate stating my senior year and I hope I work hard and not procrastinate to where I stay on pace all year long. As of the first six week grading period i’m passing six out of seven classes. The only class I am not passing is game design because I have not yet learned how to do the coding but with time I will learn how to do it and catch up with the rest of the class. But as of being on pace i’m on pace because I've been working hard through these past six weeks to make sure I don’t fall behind to a point where I can’t catch up and fail the class. I’m currently waiting for the date of my job shadow witch is 10/5/16. I’m doing a job shadow with Mr. Schimelfening who is the accountant here at the district office in Lindsay. What i’m looking forward to this year is honestly having fun with friend at all the sporting events like football and basketball. Being in the student section with all of them having a good time just cheering on our team and making memories that will last a life time. My goals for my senior year and for the future are to graduate from high school then go to COS for an associates degree in business and accounting and then transfer to a university like Fresno state, Bakersfield, or Sacramento state, to get my bachelors degree or keep going with my education and get my masters.

We are now at the 12 week grading period and i’m caught up on 6 out of my seven classes. The only class I am currently not on pace on is Ag mechanics. Because it's a new class I have not done before and before this year I had wood shop as a pathway but since they did not have wood shop they put me in Ag mechanics and I can't get out of it since I need it for my pathway so have to do it but i will catch up and get on pace by the end of the semester. My senior project is coming along pretty good. I just finished doing my life map and i already did my job shadow with the accountant here at the district office about two days ago. So now I need to write up the job shadow narrative on what MR. Schimelpfening does and how have I learned from what I experienced during my time with him. What I learned at my job shadow was that the Mr. Schimelpfening does a lot more than just accounting, he watches over the student and monitors with the cameras at the schools just in case of anything bad happens like a fight, But he mostly manages the spending like the new track and throwing pit that was approved to be built by Mr. Schimelpfening which I am very excited about since I do track and field. The plans after leaving Lindsay High school are to attend COS and get my associates degree in business and accounting, then go to either Fresno state, Bakersfield, or Sacramento state to get my bachelors degree or even my masters. I have not yet submitted any college applications because i asked my teacher and she told me the COS application were not until the spring. What excites me the most about leaving high school is finally being done with it and getting to go out to the real world and experience everything while still having the memories that will stick with me forever. I have not yet done any sports this year because I no longer play football for some reasons but I am waiting for track and field to begin so I can try and take my place at ESL championship meet which I came in second place as a junior and win this time and hopefully break my own school record for the discus and shot put throws.

We are approaching winter break now and it's almost the end of the semester. My first semester as a senior has gone really well. I’ve done many things so far. Like going to all the football games with my friends and just having a good time on the drive there and on the way back. Now going to basketball games and cheering on the boys or girls teams depending on who’s playing. I’ve been keeping my grades up all year long and hopefully at the end of the year it will all be worth it. As of now I am on pace in all my classes so i'm 7 for 7. I'm having trouble keeping up in game design because it's just a hard class as i have never done any type of game design in my 3 years prior. So it's just a lot of new stuff I have to learn and get used to in order to stay on pace and finish the class. I have not done many school activities but other than the sports events that happen but I don't know if that would be considered a school activities. But to me the school activities are really boring and i do not enjoy them much. Like the rallies my freshman year were really fun and i enjoyed going to them but now as a senior they really have died down and no longer appeal to me so if they ever cancel a rally I really don't care cause they just aren’t fun anymore. Honestly the only thing i'm anxious about is not being able to pass my classes so i won't be able to do track. I don’t have any plans for the holidays since i am a Jehovah's witness and do not celebrate holidays but we usually have family come over and we’ll cook food and just have a good time as a family. I’m not really that excited for it to be 2017. Like everyone is gonna go out and party or something like that but to me it’s just another year and i’ll probably just go to sleep anyway.
